Q: How do you add value to your current career?

Listening to the needs of our students as well as my colleagues.
         
 

Q: Is a college degree necessary for success in your profession?

     
         
  Yes.      
         
 

Q: What hurdles/setbacks that you faced in your career? How did you overcome it/them?

     
         
 

Currently the economy is taking its toll on our students ability to study at UF.  Some things are not in our control, while other are such as the new scholarship opportunities that we are offering during these trying times.

     
         
 

Q: Given a chance, would you choose a different career? Why (not)?

     
         
 

No, I think I have the best job in the world.

Q: What are you best at?

     
         
 

I believe that my attention to details and student needs are what I do best.

     
         
 

Q: How do you achieve work/life balance?

     
         
 

By giving/working 100 percent while at work and giving 100 percent while at home.

     
         
 

Q:  Do you have/have you had mentors/role models? What role have they played in your personal/professional development?

     
         
 

My parents were my role models.  My parents were both hard working.  Nothing was ever given to them.

Q: What are your interests in your leisure time? 

     
         
  I donate my time to Putnam County Hospice.  I believe we should always give back to our community.  Also, during my leisure time I like to spend as much time with my family and friends as possible.      
         

Q: Are there any goals/ dreams that you are yet to fulfill?

   
         
 

There are some countries that I would still like to travel.  I just traveled to India for the first time and that was amazing.

     
         
 

Q: Networking – What tips can you suggest for successful networking?

     
         
 

In order to network, you need to be a good listener.  That is the best advice I can give anyone who want to be successful in networking.
